🇧🇷 What we ate during every World Cup match growing up

Hi Friends Reader

With the World Cup underway, I've been thinking a lot about my childhood in Brazil.

Growing up, soccer wasn't just a sport, it was an event. Friends and family would gather around the television, everyone talking at once, cheering, celebrating, and of course, eating.

The funny thing is, no matter where you live, game days tend to bring people together in much the same way. Good food, good company, and a reason to gather around the table.

These are some of the foods I grew up enjoying during those exciting World Cup matches and family celebrations.

If you've never had a Brazilian hot dog, you're in for a treat. They're piled high with toppings and guaranteed to require extra napkins.

Brazilian Steak Kabobs (Espetinho de Carne)

Simple, flavorful, and always one of the first things to disappear when there's a crowd.

Brazilian Cheese Bread (Pão de Queijo)

Crispy on the outside, cheesy on the inside, and impossible to eat just one.

Brazilian Lemonade

Sweet, creamy, tart, and one of the most popular recipes on my website every summer.

Brazilian Caipirinha

Brazil's national cocktail and a favorite for summer gatherings.

Bourbon Party Meatballs

Not Brazilian, but every gathering needs a crowd-pleasing appetizer, and these never disappoint.

Whether you're watching soccer, hosting friends, firing up the grill, or simply looking for something fun to make this weekend, these are the recipes I'd happily put on the table.

And if you've never tried Brazilian food before, this is a delicious place to start.

My favorite way to make dinner all summer long

Hi Friends Reader One of my favorite things about summer cooking is that dinner doesn't have to be complicated (haven't I said this before?!) When the weather is beautiful, the last thing I want is to spend hours in the kitchen or deal with a sink full of dishes. That's exactly why foil packet dinners have become one of my favorite ways to cook this time of year. They're simple to prepare, practically cook themselves, and let fresh seasonal ingredients shine. My newest recipe is officially...
